Look Forward: What Is Jesus Inviting Me To Do?

At the end of His message, Jesus promises hidden manna and a white stone with a new
name. These images remind us that what Jesus offers is far greater than anything
compromise promises. He offers Himself as our true source of satisfaction, and He
offers an identity that cannot be taken away by culture, failure, or public opinion.

As you think about the week ahead, ask yourself:
Where is Jesus inviting me to stop tolerating something that is pulling me away from
Him?

Perhaps there is a habit to confront, a voice to stop listening to, a boundary to restore,
or a compromise to confess. Rather than trying to fix everything at once, focus on one
specific step of obedience. Share it with the group if you feel comfortable, and ask
someone to pray with you.

This Week’s Prayer

Jesus,
Thank You for loving us enough to confront what is harming us. Thank You that You do
not leave us in our compromise but invite us back into relationship with You. Give us
eyes to recognize the subtle ways we have drifted and hearts that are willing to repent
quickly. Help us value Your truth more than comfort, Your presence more than approval,
and Your voice more than every competing influence around us.
Feed us with the hidden manna of Your presence. Remind us who we are in You.
Strengthen us to stand firm in a world that constantly pressures us to compromise, and
help us walk closely with You this week.
Amen.

Key Truth
Compromise rarely asks us to reject Jesus; it simply asks us to relax around Him. Jesus
lovingly calls us to confront compromise, repent, and return to the intimacy that can only
be found in Him.
