Look Forward: What Is Jesus Inviting Me To Do?
Jesus ends His message with a simple instruction: “Hold on to what you have until I come.”
Faithfulness often looks less dramatic than we expect. It is choosing truth when compromise feels easier. It is having the difficult conversation. It is confessing what has been hidden. It is surrendering what we know does not belong.
As you think about the week ahead, consider where Jesus may be inviting you to stop tolerating something that is keeping you from deeper fellowship with Him.
What would one step of obedience look like this week?
If you feel comfortable, share that step with the group and invite others to pray for you.
This Week’s Prayer
Jesus,
Thank You for loving us enough to tell us the truth. Thank You that Your correction is never meant to shame us but to draw us closer to You. We confess that there are times when we tolerate what You want to transform. We choose comfort over courage, silence over truth, and compromise over obedience.
Help us welcome Your refining work in our lives. Give us wisdom to recognize what is unhealthy and courage to respond with faith. Teach us to walk in both grace and truth as You did.
Help us hold tightly to You when compromise feels easier. Give us clean hearts, clear consciences, and a deeper awareness of Your presence. May our lives reflect Your truth, Your love, and Your holiness.
In Your name we pray, amen.
