Jesus' letter to the church in Pergamum acknowledges the pressures of living faithfully within a culture opposed to God while confronting the subtle compromises that had begun to influence the church. Rather than calling believers to withdraw from their culture, Jesus calls them to remain faithful within it by holding firmly to His truth. This session examines how compromise often develops gradually and how Christ lovingly exposes what threatens wholehearted devotion. Through Scripture, discussion, and reflection, participants are encouraged to recognize areas where cultural influences have shaped their thinking and to embrace repentance as Christ's gracious invitation back into deeper relationship with Him.
